COVID-19 Awareness Training

Risk of spread of the virus is definitely at a greater height in the rural areas. Reasons for high chances of infection spread in such areas are due to a number of factors like a limited supply of clean water, limited availability of food, low level of nutrients, ill-equipped and insufficient public health centres and district hospitals and lack of knowledge about vaccines of infectious diseases. Rural populations completely lack awareness and are exposed to very minimum preventive measures. The doctor and field staff of the project conducted special awareness training for ESHG members.  The training covered information about the following topics.

• Cause of the COVID-19 disease
• Method of infection
• Early signs of infection in an infected person
• Prevention of contamination i.e. personal hygiene, social distancing, etc.
• Do’s and Don’ts to prevent COVID-19 infection in villages
